CarGo is made by Granite Peak Engineering LLC, a small engineering company in San Marcos, California.
Why CarGo exists
A Ring camera facing a street notices every passing car. Most alerts are about other people's cars, so the alerts you care about can get lost.
CarGo was built to tell you when your vehicle has arrived or left. It learns your vehicles from your cameras with a few taps from you, then stays quiet about other vehicles.
CarGo is a convenience, not a security or safety system. It helps you notice the comings and goings that matter to you.
How we treat your data
- We keep only what the service needs. Video is deleted within minutes after it is checked. Your account keeps a cropped, blurred still of each vehicle.
- We do not sell your data, show advertising, or use your images to train anything for other customers.
- We do not read license plates or track other people or their vehicles.
- You can find the details in the Privacy Policy. Every company that handles your data is listed on the Subprocessors page.
