Emergency vehicle alerts are becoming a separate app and are not included in these plans.
How the weekly limit works
Your Ring camera records a clip whenever it detects motion, and CarGo checks each clip for vehicles. A camera on a quiet street records a couple of hundred clips a day. One facing a busy road can record thousands.
Each camera's plan sets the number of clips CarGo checks over seven days: 1,500 on Home and 4,000 on Pro. Past that limit, new clips from that camera are checked overnight, without live alerts; their sightings are in the app the next morning. At twice the limit, CarGo pauses the camera until its count for the last seven days drops.
The app warns you before a camera reaches the limit.
Turning off Other Motion in Smart Alerts in the Ring app usually keeps a camera well below the limit. Shadows, branches, rain and pets will no longer record clips. The setup guide shows where to find the setting. A camera that remains busy can move to Pro.
Billing and cancellation
Billing is monthly through the Ring Appstore, not CarGo.
You can cancel any time under Ring My Apps in the Ring app. CarGo continues working until the end of the billing period you paid for.
